How do weight loss meal systems like nutrisystem decide about portion sizes and calories?

Question by ultimmadman .com: How do weight loss meal systems like nutrisystem decide about portion sizes and calories?
How do weight loss meal systems like nutrisystem decide about portion sizes and calories?
I mean there are people all over the weight spectrum when it comes to dieting. Do they have different portion sizes for different sized people?
Otherwise I just wouldn’t get how a 400 pound and a 200 pound man would have to take in the same amount of calories to try to lose weight?
Any ideas?

The ads are fake so you’d buy their system or product and that goes for all products regarding weight loss ads. They will only work with people that « can » lose weight easily and a lot of it is photography. Those losing from 400 lbs down have medical problems so they’d be under the supervision of a doctor and of course theirs would take a lot of exercise and struggling.

Even if you don’t buy the « nutrisystem » you can buy the food. The food has low calories in it and they tell you to exercise. And the portions are ample for the amount of low calories it contains. All the portions are the same.

I’ve been suggesting to nutrisystem for at least 15 years now that it’s the poor that need to lose weight and their system is way to expensive for the poor and those who are retired and who are on low income but they don’t care. I’ve heard it’s more stress eating than anything.

  1. They spend a lot of time figuring it all out before telling you. It might be easier to figure out on the Weight Watchers program where you get points, but that program is only for those who don’t have metabolism problems (in my opinion) because they allow carbos and even desserts, but I cannot lose weight eating those.

As for different weights taking in the same thing…..it still works, but if you are like 400 and only eat 1100 calories a day for example your weight will come off faster than a 200 pounder unless there is a metabolism/thyroid problem, also depending on exercise.
